at what point should you delete them all because organizing funny memes is not a fucking good use of time? should i delete them all so i don't have to organize over 1,000 files?

I have a cloud drive with approximately 4000 meme images saved to it, dating back to 2013. Most of them are unsorted, but a lot of them have names I can search fir. A good thing to laugh (or cringe) at in retrospect, but if you're really worried about digital hoarding, just delete it.
That being said, you're on /r9k/. Do you really have anything better to do with your time?

yes, i do. and fhsldkf 4k jesus
im at 1.8k minimum and i don't know how i got here. life = gg no re. i'm going with the mentality of "if someone were to confiscate my computer and look through my files, how ashamed would i be of having this?" in deciding whether to keep each file. thanks fellow anon
>only has 1,000 mimi reactionary faces

I gotta recommend the KonMari method since digital possessions and clutter are just as real as physical ones.
Look at them one by one. If they make you happy, keep them. Otherwise, delete them.
It doesn't take too long desu, I organized mine into "hhmmm" folder, "reaction faces (anime girl subfolder)", "political" and "funny"

thres no fucking point in saving any more because all my shit is so disorganized, it takes me like 40 minutes to find one not-even-good image. i can only go through the most recent 15 saved files because there's too many and deep web subfolder iceberg status
ordering hdd on amazon god damn

no problem senpai, my shit was also fucked.
I had images in my download folder, images on my desktop, images floating around in the Pictures folder, etc.. I sorted them all in like an hour one day. Now that I know what pictures go where, I don't have any laying around anywhere.
It's the same with my room and all my tangible stuff. I used to have papers and clothes and shit all over the floor and bed and chair. The Konmari method saved me. I threw out everything I didn't need, then I threw out what I didn't truly like, I only kept what I genuinely liked.

I felt like you at one point. And then I realized I was approaching 5,000 images, and I always just pick one at random if I thought it fit well enough.
If you ever have some free time, just make a couple folders with some simple categories and start throwing them in there. I did this for about an hour or until I got bored, and over maybe 4 days, they were all categorized.
Of course, there are sub-folders within folders, and some folders that could be sub-folders but aren't, but whatever.

Put them in a zip and share them with the board before you delete them.
