That happened to a guy at one of the smelters where I work a few years ago. Fucking awful way to go.

A little of everything really, but a regular day I spend the morning welding and the afternoon in the paintbox. Sandblasting is the worst bit, the blaster they have is pretty much a firehose with the same crazy pressure, one has a mask and everything but it takes like 20 seconds and one can't see a fucking thing out of it.
It's pretty well paid though.
I worked on junkyards before I got my IT job, colleagues always joked about me eating steel rims as cereal because I look the part. IT is comfy, yes, but I wish I could get the same money for physical work
