>watch a video
>there's an ad
REEEEEEEEE!!!!!
Question: if you're watching an ad on YouTube and click the ad without buying anything, does it help the company or hurt it by making it think you want their product without buying anything? If I don't like an ad and click on it, will it hinder them from further ads in the future?

Usually ads pay in clicks. So the more you click the more money they make

The more money the advertisers make? I would think they pay more for more clicks.

>You can click on Youtube ads
Literally never knew that. I always waited for the 5 second thing to go down so I could skip it. If I got a 30 second ad that I can't skip, I suddenly don't want to watch the video.

>not using ublock on PC and Newpipe on android.
Just use the subscriptions pace of the default youtube app and the share button to open it in Newpipe.
>Watch a video on phone so I don't have to take my laptop on the toilet
>Ad plays every 2 minutes ruining the flow of the video
what is the fucking point? I can accept banner ads because they are literally non-intrusive, but cutting the feed to watch an alternate video for a product I wasn't interested in is just frustrating
Even better is when I use youtube as a playlist and in the middle of my electronica binge I hear an ad for a country album
go fuck yourself google, get this shit settled.
