First of all, you can be so depressed that you're incapable of committing suicide. The depression is so deep that it robs of you the motivation to kill yourself. That's why all those antidepressants come with warnings like "if you experience suicidal thoughts, etc.".

Robots almost certainly have a higher suicide rate than the general population. But at the same time there is a class of robot so unbelievably depressed that they are literally incapable of killing themselves. It's crazy stuff.

Most suicides are quietly tucked away in the obituaries. Chad, father of 3 or 16 year old Stacey get the front page but that doesn't mean only Chads and Staceys commit suicide.

I live in the country with one of the highest suicide rates, nearly everyone knows someone who offed themselves here, im 27, saw about 10 people i vaguely knew of off themselves
