I used to buy into the whole 'reddit is cancer' meme but I've warmed to it a bit lately.

The main use of reddit, IMO, is finding really niche communities where you can discuss some really narrow topic. Yes, any sub over 100k subscribers inevitably degenerates into the totalitarian overmodded sheeple mindset of reddit as a whole, but many of the smaller communities are insulated from it by their weird subject matter that keeps the overall Reddit posterbase out.

I've found drug related subreddits pretty fun. However, the fact that people on r/drugscirclejerk think that saying "boof" over and over again is hilarious just confirms what I've always said, that Reddit trying to be funny is just cringe.

I made a reddit yesterday
I actually for the first time in my life started browsing it a few weeks ago
I've become such a shut-in, spending so much time alone in my room, and I've grown so sick of all movies, tv shows, video games, etc. and these 4chan boards are often so agonizingly slow, just having more useless internet shit to mindlessly scroll through to fill my day.

Boy, this is really not a great way to live
