Anon, thats an octopus
Pic related is jellyfish
Baby owl
I've been a bird person since I was a kid. Hard to choose when there are so many birds, but I'm going to go with the raven. They're very cool animals: they can talk, they have a sense of humor, they engage in play. they can murder each other. Interesting how they evolved intelligence independently from us, yet they ended up with a lot of similarities.
Pic unrelated, I'm a frog.

Bear. Cuz bears are the best and I'm big and hairy like a bear.
>>35722122
i think it's not actually that dissimilar. i would argue octopi have equivalent intelligence to ravens, only they are not social creatures, and thus that intelligence expresses itself in a different manner. on the other hand, ravens, dolphins and humans have intelligence that correlates as we all develop in a similar (but not nearly the same) fashion.
also, i agree. birds > all

Anon those are cuttlefish
red panda
>>35721569
Those are cuttlefish, anon,
But I appreciate you anyways. Cuttlefish are one of my favorite animals

All types of bears are mines.
this may be a totally normie answer but it's probably the doggo
doggos have always been cool with me and vice versa
Definitely a cat. Wise and aloof, but also a playful trickster at times.
they're the most autistic of all leopards.
seriously. look at it.
-avoids cameras like the plague
-ranges alone
-hunt like autists, been seen stopping rocks from rolling and making noise with their big paw pads
lately ive been thinking a lot about shoebills, german shepherds and crows/ravens
i dont know what that says about me

Based fungi. One of the most fascinating life forms. I honestly believe they are intelligent. They display social behavior and problem solving. I spend a lot of time with aspergillus and saccharomyces and I'm no stranger to psilocybe. Physarum polycepharum is a badass slime, that learns, remembers, and solves puzzles. Part of why I like Corina Tarnita so much is her work on social behavior in microbes.
I don't know about magic space fungus creating us but I'm quite sure they played a role in our development of consciousness as a species. It's not that farfetched. There are plenty of examples where fungus drastically alters an organisms behavior, and thusly also alters cognition.
I remember when I was a kid, my grandfather's friend would bring his white grand daughter over to play while the caught up on sports n shit. Whenever she would do something bad her grandfather would threaten to call Big Daddy to come and deal with her. Ever since that moment Big Daddy became my spirit animal and guide to dealing with this chick for years.

fungal endoliths are sweet https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endolith
Snakes. I've always liked snakes. They're quiet and all they want to do is lay in the sun and eat rats. They don't fuck with you unless you fuck with them. One time an attractive girl asked me to kill a snake for her and I said no. That's how much I love snakes.
Kakapo. Literally a fat autistic bird on the brink of death:

The Shark.
They're big and stupid and everybody hates them because they're under the impression they're dangerous killers.
Also I like fish.
