I'm thinking of getting a 4k monitor to replace my 6 year old 1080 26" TV. Are they truly good? (I will not be playing games at 4k)

I didn't expect to feel...

It's been around longer then 6 years I'm afraid.
>tfw it was the monitor I used with my first and current gaming PC
>tfw I remember when 1080p 60fps seemed new, high tech and exciting
>tfw now it's old trash
This hits me the hardest.

Just get yourself a nice Dell u2414h 16:9 (1080p) ISP panel monitor

Get a wqhd 144/165 hx instead pleb
You can actually play games in it too

4k is a waste of money I just ordered a 1080p monitor after this happened

a monitor? for pc or tv? a 25-27" 1440p monitor is bretty gud, I use asus PB258Q. I wouldn't bother for 4k under 32".

I like having a big monitor, and 1080p at 26" is really pushing it.

My PC is 5 years old and can only manage 1080p 60 sadly

Thanks for making me feel that feel as well. It's weird how fast time slips by when you're a hiki/neet.

Monitor. I wouldn't bother with upgrading if I already had a 1440 monitor, but want to go all out and keep this for ages. Also 4k gaming about 3 years when I get a new PC

stop being a fag and just save, in 3 years you can buy a 4k 144hz+ non-tn monitor and actually use it with a single gpu

>4k 144hz
That's ages off for gaming on a reasonable priced PC. The 1080 ti can barely do 4k 60, and that's not even in all games
