Sort of depends on the power.

Either way, I'd probably let the power go to my head, try to become a beacon of good (vigilantism -- I'm not working for the fucking govt. That'd get me in so much trouble and I'd probably just end up being killed out of fear) and then become a power-hungry cunt like that guy in Chronicle, except a little less angry and autistic.

Try my best to keep it hidden. Absolutely only use it for personal gain but if the situation wouldn't 'out' me I would use it to help others along the way. That's pretty much all I can say at this point. You don't know how you will really act until you do actually have the powers. Maybe I'll feel the need to help others to strongly and eventually try and become some "superhero" or maybe I'll just get rich off it. I'll probably still never be happy by the end of it though.

Depends entirely on the power. If it's strong enough to challenge a nation then I would probably try to change the world as I saw fit. Anything smaller I would keep it as hidden as possible and just use for personal gain, or else you'd risk getting captured, dissected, and then boxed up in the warehouse from the end of Raiders.

If I had a superpower I would attempt to be as altruistic as Superman, but i'd eventually fall short in some way and go nuts.

Assuming I'm the only mutant, I'd start a cult around me not being able to die (Do shit like jump off buildings to show I'm a god and shit) and then go on a crusade to wipe them out.

I would secretly use my powers for selfish and petty gain. The less people know of my powers the better. For example, if I had super speed I would just cross streets without missing the light or get where I need to be quicker.

I would stay fucking silent about it, go on with my life as it was, and make sure no one ever finds out I have them.

I'm not ending up in a fucking government lab to be dissected so they can make super soldiers or just fucking killed to make sure I don't become a threat because that's EXACTLY what the fuck would happen to anyone if fucking superpowers were ever real.

I end up thinking about being able to stop time without repercussions a lot. You could cheat on your tests, steal, etc. Anything you ever wanted you could have.
