People like you guys are one of the worst kinds of people on this site. This dismissive, know it all, bravado attitude you constantly project. I'm sure there are people who claim to have the disorder who really don't, similar to when normies claim to be "depressed" in their social media bios. This is not one of those cases. It's definitely real and not a meme.

Yeah it is real insofar as if you're not a normalfag you probably do have some cause to be anxious about social situations, but those people don't normally call it something as generic as social anxiety.

This pretty much. As a teen i used to force myself into what everyone else did (going out, socializing, going to clubs, etc). It was never fun, it felt like a chore, like doing homework, something unpleasant, frustrating. I was never able to enjoy people's company. Eventually i began to isolate myself more and more, distracting myself through videogames and sports (swimming).
I'm now 22 and do not remember the last time i had a "normal" weekend. Last text i got from a friend is dated december 2012. I don't even know what keeps me going. Sorry for the long ass blogpost.
