So guys I really want a motorcycle. I found some used ones online like pic related for around $ 1500. but my father experienced trauma at the age of ten when his brother billy crashed his motorcycle into a car that pulled out in front of him. I'm 25 and live with my parents.
My dad is already under a great amount of stress from work and suffered a heart attack a few years back.
Would it be wrong to buy one at this time?
Does buying one while living under my parents roof look shitty?
I really need one. I don't think I'll survive another Houston summer without it.

Wonder why he's selling so cheap

Idk if I'd buy a bike off a Houston Craigslist site. Might be a cholo
I think you should hold off on the bike. You're a kind and thoughtful person to consider that in the first place, anon.

>implying you can't be /fit/ and ride bikes
I also like motorcycles. I'd love to have a cool old UJM like OP's pic but >>35677111 and the cost keep me from getting one.

>Houston
Horrible city for a bike, if it's not stolen by a nig or a kebab then you'll be hit by a drunk/high driver.
If your city wasn't an atrocious place to own a bike, I'd say something like your pic would be good. I'm a Honda fan, your pic looks like an SL or CR? I had an old SL100 a few years ago, currently own a CRF150 and a CRF90 (the 90 is my loaner bike when a friend doesn't have one to ride, I live close to a lot of dirtbiking trails so no license/registration required and no theft concern. Also, I keep it in the garage, if you don't keep a bike in a garage it's going to wear and break down incredibly fast.
Most importantly,
>dad
Fucking ask him, you autistic piece of work, goddamn. "Hey dad, I'm thinking of getting a motorcycle, blahblahblah."

Get a bike dude it's your life. I bought pic related and rode it around so cal. Literally the most fun I've had in years. Talking to your dad about it first is probably a good idea though.

It's a scam bikeanon here, it's usually the very shitty picture, short ad posts to be worried about

>Yamaha
Reviews? I've only ever ridden Honda and KTM, KTM absolutely outperforms Honda but it takes a goddamn nuclear apocalypse for that Honda engine to stop turning. Riding KTM is fun but maintenance on the KTMs made me go Honda.

I'm in Florida I got a motorcycle I'll sell ya

Honda>Yamaha>Kawasaki>Suzuki in terms of reliability for sure. I have no complaints about it however.

Intredasting. I guess it's only taken a few years, but the trails used to be dominated by Hondas with a sprinkling of all other brands, now just a few years later I see primarily KTMs with a few Hondas, any other brand seems vanishingly rare on the dirt. Especially for adult riders or riders with money.
I also want a bike but i know nothing about it, i seek advice. I know it's not the best place to ask but some help would be appreciated.
