Nobody is truly irredeemable anon, but most of the time, the military simply isn't the answer. That's not to say it isn't the place for YOU specifically, because you -can- learn values, discipline, a sense of community and belonging, and not to mention sweet skills like repairing stuff, blowing shit up, making things, etc.

I'm not sure what I'm trying to get at here, but if you truly have no other options in sight, it might be the place for you, just be prepared to get broken down like nothing you've ever felt before. If you're more likely to put the rifle barrel in your mouth, maybe stay away from the military. Or don't. I don't know anon.

I tried to join the airforce but they turned me down because i got a traumatic brain injury when i was 16. I also didn't tell them about an incomplete right bundle branch block in my heart (benign) but listed as potentially disqualifying. regardless, i got PERMANENTLY disqualified, at least from the AF.

Yes and no? This is the first time this has happened to me unprovoked. The other time was when I just wanted to say hi to a friend in the guard at a booth but ended up talking to this other guy for way too long. That was back in high school and I don't remember how I fucked up so bad there but that was on me. They probably didn't get a lot of people up there so they tried to hound me a bit. The army would set up table at the entrance of the lunch room every now and then for people to walk up but they never went out and asked I don't think.
Another time it was the marines and they set up a pull up bar. Kids were doing like 15-20. I went up and did 40. Had the whole cafeteria cheering for me and won a jacket. Dude said it was only 31 cause my chin didn't go high enough but fuck you I know what I did.
