Any robot into fishing? Pretty comfy pastime
I go fishing every now and then. I suck at it and sometimes I don't even catch anything, but spending time alone in nature is super comfy so it doesn't matter that much.

I legitimately hate being outside
You might think mosquito bites are fine and not that bad.
But for days after some "fun outing" I am stuck with itchy skin being the loudest urgency my body has.
HEY THIS PATCH OF SKIN ITCHES
HEY IT STILL ITCHES
HEY DUDE IT ITCHES
HEY HEY HEY ITCH
ITCH ITCH ITCH
fuck the outdoors. it's for normies

Same here the bugs are my only problem. I just bring a can of Off! When I go but even then they devour me

Yep, I love it. I just hate dealing with the countless amount of retards at piers/boat launches on weekends. There's definitely a lot of good people in the hobby but the idiots have a much stronger presence.

fishing is pretty fucking zen
originally, though

I go with my brother from time to time, he's really big on it, and very skilled. We usually fish the lakes and rivers around home for black and spotted bass. Sometimes striper depending on the time of year.

I can't go fishing because I imagine the fish swallowing the hook, the line breaking, the fish getting away, a seal eating the fish, the hook getting lodged in the seals stomach, the seal in unrelenting pain for weeks before the abdominal abscess finally claims its life.
Or worse yet an otter.
I don't want an otter to get a hook stuck in its gut and die because I went fishing for food I didn't even need and the line snapped.
>they're closing all the fishing spots because of the fucking gooks leaving trash everywhere and keeping EVERYTHING they catch

Please don't harm that fish mate. Kindly throw it back

Catch and release is pretty harmfu, desu.
>>35672738
How so exactly anon?
>>35672780
A large number of fish caught actually die once released. Fishing in general is bad for the environment.

Im calling bullshit on this
I caught the same sucker a couple days in a row

In the states maybe, here in Australia with our local species they have upwards of a 95% survival rate of the ones caught in rivers etc.
Only idiots do catch and release and touch the fish and don't use unbarbed hooks etc.

I did it all the time when I was younger, both saltwater and freshwater
although all i ever caught in saltwater was pic related
