Philosophy at the higher levels is like maths and shit. I knew a lady who almost got her phd in philosophy, pure maths but quit and makes shitttttloads of money programming for a factory.

Ok let's be easy on OP here. he is at least getting out of the house, and that's a start. Philosophy is a shit field. I have to take one intro to philosophy this semester for my credits. The philosophy dept has lots of girls, and many are ugly and easy. I have faith in OP. I think he can do well and meet people. Here are my tips for college and how to look like a normie:

>introduce yourself to the professor after class. Prof will like you, maybe give you extensions or extra credit.
>don't be afraid to help others or ask for help from others

Most of the useless subjects, like philosophy or arts you can learn by yourself as a hobby. No need to go to college for 4 years just so you end up unemployed and with the same knowledge as someone that studied it on his free time.

What type of job ? Teacher ? Teacher assistant ? With STEM because you have a strong math you can go into finance or banking if you want. Joining engineering corp in army ? Done deal.
Navy ? Yup.
STEM gives you more options than any other degree.
