Fantasy novels/shows that are "deep" or "edgy," but not "weird" or "nerdy."
That's why most of them like Harry Potter or Game of Thrones, less like Tolkien's works or Elder Scrolls, fewer still like Wow, Runescape, Final Fantasy, Guild Wars, and pretty much any other RPG, and tabletop gaming is completely alien to them.
