Which could potentially mean genocide of non-transhumanists by transhumanists. It would be akin to the invention of gunpowder or nuclear weapons.

I wish there was some kind of hidden society of transhumanists that provided a secret safe haven for research. The price for being with them is potentially lethal experimentation.

Looked into it. Doesn't work like most people think. The biggest hurdle is thawing you back out, not freezing you in the first place. If we tried thawing someone out today they'd come out just mush. Think about freezing a piece of raw meat. It doesn't come out the same texture. Thats because the freezing destroys the cells. We can mitigate that with a few things today, and the best of those cryo companies do those things, but we don't have the technology to prevent it entirely. There are a few types of fish with natural antifreeze blood, that might work, but thats at least as far into the future as life extension technology anyway.

So if you did it now, you'd have to remain frozen until they figure out how to restore you to a functional state. In theory they could scan and reassemble a new you, but then you run into >>35652493 this problem all over again.

And this is all assuming in the future they even bother with thawing out primitives.

I have the feeling that most of this shit is gonna be out of reach for the lower classes. I'm working on studying STEM related subjects now because I can't guarantee I'll be able to buy/qualify for it, but if I'm involved in its production then they can't refuse me my life extension surgeries/implants/robo body.

Plus it beats being a NEET, might as well use this as motivation regardless.
