Gunshot is indeed the best way but if it's not possible try burning charcoal in a sealed space. It'll give off carbon monoxide which will suffocate you.

Don't waste time with sleeping pills unless you've extensively researched a SPECIFIC chemical and lethal dosage, they're extremely unreliable and are up there cutting among high-failure methods.

I have been dreaming about this for a while, but I suggest instead of killing yourself you run out into the woods and try to live off the land. It's better to die naturally than to kill yourself and slowly decompose in your bedroom, at least in my opinion. Honestly, if you'd rather die than live, don't bring anything with you. If you don't want to be found, don't bring ANY electronics or anything that has some sort of wireless connection of some sort. Don't leave any traces behind of you leaving. If there is no forest around you, take a bicycle in head in a random direction. You will get there eventually.

I'm not OP, but I've been considering suicide a lot these past 6 months. I can't bring myself to do it... I know how much it'll hurt my mother, even though it'll set me free. I've been sitting in what feels like purgatory for the last 4 months. I can't get hired, I'm fucking scared shitless of learning to drive, and I can't lose weight. I also don't have the desire to better myself... I'm sad but perfectly content never experiencing life for what it is.

An end to my suffering is all I want.

basically something like this, it would take some engineering but i believe people commit suicide tend to be a lot smarter than the average person so it wouldnt be too hard to setup

you just hang yourself and when you drop down it pulls a string on a gun securely fastened pointing straight at your head? chest? and you are guaranteed to die

but basically its a 2 in 1 setup that were taking 2 suicide methods and combining them into one, it would take some practice or ingenuity to get the tension right and make sure that the gun doesnt miss
