To my mentally ill rowboats: Is treatment/recovery from your illness worth it, all in the name of a feeling you don't remember having in the first place? What's so great about being happy anyway?

Well the idea is less about bein happy and more about functioning right. We tend to look at it as gaining a new sports car when that's not the case. We are just getting the tools to work on the car we have so we can just leave this place.

Honestly nah, fuck all the normies and their awful ass society they want you to be a functioning cog in. Drugs and therapy and shit is all a scam. Hedonism followed by suicide is probably the best way for a robot's life to progress.
It's what my general plan for the next few years of life are anyway. After all the fruitless years of attempting "treatment" i've just stopped caring, and i've built up a sort of resentment towards mental healthcare industry to boot.
been avoiding all that shit as much as i could
when i had court ordered psychiatric treatment i was as abrasive and resistant as possible. luckily only had one round of anti depressants until my psychatrist got cancer and died and was able to convince the MD that i dont need meds
maybe the treatment could help me but my days are already full enough as it is (mostly shitposting and self loathing)
whatever happens happens in my opinion, but if you want to explore the option i say be as cooperative as possible and try to avoid medications. sometimes just talking to people about your problems helps. also be very careful about what you tell them since they may act on it or at very least think lesser or some shit of it

are you talking about HRT specifically?
The mental effects are minimal, I would highly reccomend it if you even have the slightest inclination of taking it
