The emo phase was the only time I was ever 'cool'

I'm pale as a ghost, had straight dark hair, rail skinny with super dark eyes. It suited me perfectly. I played guitar and wrote songs and emo girls actually liked me, plus I could be as miserable as I wanted and was praised for it

Now I'm 24, I can't have the hair anymore because I'm balding, skinny isn't cool as a grown man, nobody wants to hear how miserable a grown man is and I look like shit

At least I grew out of that 00's core trash and got into actual emo though
