Turns out her dad was friends with mine and I'd actually met her a few times before that. Every situation is me being dense and only realizing when it's too late. This has happened at least 20 times

And that's the only time I've had an opportunity to miss. In hindsight it's obvious she wanted me to ask her to prom. If she had directly asked me to take her to prom I honestly would have but my autism prevented me from realizing that she was implying that she wanted to go with me.
