Why are gen X'ers so lazy and entitled?

It's a good thing being born ten years before the new millennium still somehow fucking makes you a millennial, or else this thread would have got me rustled.

Their ideals are lodged in freedom of expression, peaceful spirituality, caring for the environment and all the other Buddhist crap they aired non-stop in the nineties, but have to face a stark reality that they behave pretty much exactly like their parents did. They're just as addicted to television, drugs, sex, and power like their parents were; but since they also mostly all hate their parents for unknown reasons they want to reject that culture. It creates a sort of madness where you see a grown adult hold their right hand in defiance against ignorance and violence, but then the left hand is grabbing handfuls of pain medicine and googling for porn on an ipad
