An old friend that moved away a while ago will arrive at the local train station in about two hours and wants me fetch him (together with others) for drinking etc. I don't really want to go. Besides, he has become pretty successful, so I can't relate anymore.
Should I go or just lay in bed?

If you don't you'll 100% regret it. Going out with them and meeting new people might put you on a path to normieness or atleast something better than being a robot. No harm in trying at the very least
