I swear I'm not memeing here, my theater has a no singles policy.

The reasoning kind of makes sense, basically since people tend to not sit next to one another, single ticket customers end up taking up more space so less people can get good seating.

The only time you can get single tickets is matinees, but of course I don't wake up that early. So the only way I can see movies is to get a family member to go, or a few times I've used craigslist.
