Im 30 and have 10,000. Only able to save that much becuase I have no life and live at home. Feels like I can't do anything with it though, because it is not really that much. Like I could maybe buy a half decent used car or take a small vacation.
I spent two years at $10/hour saving up that much. Had several major auto repairs. I did the work (with some technical help from dad ) and parts still cost me like $2500. Also had to buy $500 in tires.

Look up your city's homeless shelters. Look up where you can get food handouts. Then leave.
Even a bunch of homeless people are better company than /r9k/. After that you'll probably have a job in a few days and things will improve. But the first step is leaving and you have to do it right now. If nothing changed until now, it's time for really extreme measures.
