I'm taking my first Statistics class in college (lol american public school) and right now it seems comfy. Is it a comfy robot career? I don't mind repetitive work.

In the statistics class I took in college, I was great when we started, then it got more advanced and I had no fucking idea what was going on.
I know I bombed the final exam, but my teacher still gave me a 90-something for some reason. I think I made the professor like me by participating in class and doing well on the previous exams, so he protected my A. Good guy.

So what are you looking at becoming exactly, an actuary?
Before I get into this I just wanna say that the first stats class you take is nothing like any of the other stuff you would do as a stats major. a lot of upper divs are probably closer to compsci than math, honestly stats is kinda different from either of those fields
If you want to be an actuary look into the FSA tests, there's multiple tests you have to take to become an actuary, it's a very long road

I was thinking more along the lines of lab drone.

not a fan of /co/ shit but the reference to shindol is cool
Go read something by nassim nicohlas taleb first
If you still wanna do stats well then whatever faggot
It's a free country, do what gets you paid and what you want. Comfy jobs exist in most fields, I've been a programmer, lab installation tech and product designer with degrees in chemistry.
Most people's current work is not directly related to what they majored in. Fact.
