INTJ here. Hope the autistic xSTP shows up today

has there ever been an esfp in one of these threads?
>>35523197
Hey, ISTP reporting in
This is an ISTP, right?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBGwisx7y8E
Thought INFJ, got INTJ twice. My life has been a lie.
Miserable ISTJ who has failed at everything he has ever undertaken, here.
>INTJ
Introverted, indecisive and averagely wishy washy about everything. Sounds frighteningly accurate

What does this mean? I'm not familiar with this test or these types.
INFP male, the worst possible result.
>>35524116
Correct, i have trait alexithymia. FeelsNotMuchMan
>>35524120
Can someone explain what those letters at the bottom mean for me?
>>35524160
Se = Extraverted sensing and so on. Research Myars Briggs a bit more friend.
>>35524177
There are also greater than signs and equal signs in seemingly different positions throughout
>>35524120
>What does this mean?
You're ESTP because you have dominant Se (1st function) and auxiliarly Ti (2nd function).
1. Se - extroverted Sensing
Se is the main way SeTi's take in information and their core function. This means they use their senses to understand the world around them and they handle solid, real world information better than vague hypotheticals. They live in the moment and need to constantly seek out adventure and fun, sensory experiences to keep Se happy.
2. Ti - introverted Thinking
Ti is what fuels their drive to understand the world, as well as their focus on mastering hands-on skills and talents. It comes second in their "functional stack", and it operates mostly in their subconscious. It primarily does analysis on the ideas that their Se creates based on their experiences. It provides a logical framework and reference material to determine which ideas are logical and which are not, and to figure out how they might be implemented. Because Ti is serving Se, it primarily seeks knowledge as a "tool" that can be wielded to solve problems.More info there - http://www.typeinmind.com/seti/
>>35524196
Again, research it a bit more. I don't particularly want to sit here explaining functions and there relation to each other.
>>35524120
>What does this mean? I'm not familiar with this test or these types.
It literally means that you're one of the types who can't use google
>>35524223
Okay cool thanks, sounds about right
>>35524231
I did a little bit of reading and it's pretty accurate. I'm basically an adrenaline junkie with a high IQ and moderate emotional IQ (although I cause myself to suffer quite a bit and can be anti-social/selfish at times, while paradoxically loving to be generous and wanting to give)
At least, that's how I'd describe myself
My dream is to be rich and explore the world, enjoying fun activities, relaxing, and providing an awesome life for my family
>>35523003
It goes without saying that if you're INFP you probably felt that you didn't really fit in at least once but does any other INFPs feel it's really hard to accept generalizations about other people? Like "All Xs are Y", "If you're W then you must be/like/do Z", "Only an A would B" etc. etc. Just burns me the wrong way.
>>35524298
I was asking moreso to facilitate conversation in this thread, because I think that's the whole point of the thread isn't it? I'd rather have a discussion with people in here rather than being like "hey guys here's my type lol k bye"
Based off my brief reading and understanding, you seem to be one of those loser "IN" types though I bet who can't understand something as simple as this
any infj bros here?
what carrer do you guys have? Seems like my only option is to become a meme psychologist.
>>35524298
Damn anon, nice. But seriously sensors BTFO
>>35524340
I was just memeing, no need to take it so seriously
>>35524340
>loser IN types
You do understand that about 80% of the people on r9k are INT?
>>35524348
>Seems like my only option is to become a meme psychologist.
Why? I wouldnt recommend being psychologist if you're emotional sponge and other people emotions worns you too much.
>>35524374
Yeah I'm well aware, which is why most of you are losers
I mean, I'm a loser too, not saying I'm not, but hey. Calling it as I see it
Besides being a loser is better in this degenerate society anyway, being someone who fits in means you're probably retarded
So it's not exactly an insult anyway, just felt like putting that uppity fellow in his place (he claims to be joking but he wasn't, he just didn't like the retaliation he got)
>>35524406
Dishonesty is the case pretty often, though if he is who i think he is, (almost certain), he probably was just memeing. In any case, I don't doubt being a loser, though i'd say what we consider loser is two separate things
>>35523003
>literally posting reddit
These threads have been invaded by that intj nigger from reddit. He namefags as "himself" and is always calling out random people as being some phantom istp that triggered him once.
>>35524384

So i suppose since i'd be shit in medicine, psychology sounds good but as you said it really isn't.

I'm open to the possibility of missing the fact that it was just banter, although knowing this board's demographic I leaned towards him attacking me
Regardless, I may have overreacted so sorry to that anon, I like banter but it's hard to interpret tone over text sometimes
>>35524458
What makes you say we consider being a loser two different things? What is being a loser to you?
Being a loser to me is someone who doesn't know their place in the world. Someone who hasn't found a good source of income and doesn't pay taxes properly
One could make the argument that being a loser is someone without friends and/or a girlfriend, but I'd say the people who move past that need and realize they're actually content being alone and they've also found their own contentment in life through academic research or pursuit of a good job aren't losers even if they aren't very popular people
>>35524517
I'm an entj. Do you have schizophrenia? You seem mentally ill.
Can we stop caring about one guy and get back to endless circlejerk about our clearly superior types?

You seem to have made a bit of a mistake in your post. Luckily, the users of 4chan are always willing to help you clear this problem right up! You appear to have used a name when posting, but your identity has nothing at all to do with the conversation! Whoops! You should always remember to stop using your tripcode when the thread it was used for is gone, unless another one is started! Posting with a tripcode when it isn't necessary is poor form. You should always try to post anonymously, unless your identity is absolutely vital to the post that you're making!

as long as we are happy being friends though, it doesn't matter if he fakes or not
maybe you are actually this friend of mine and we are talking about this in some weird roundabout way, but he's not the type to browse 4chan, much less r9k (he would be more of a reddit type)
>>35527131

INFJ, they say it's a more feminine/androgynous personality type so all of the women hate kinda goes over my head since from my point of view a lot of it is kinda relatable, I'm not bitter about being a virgin I know it's something that has to come from me, also I way to picky.

If you guys are that interested, research the cognitive functions on your own. As long as you're not really thick or mentally ill, it should be a lot more effective at determining your type, and more useful than the pandering and stereotyping bullshit you get from most "tests" to do with it.

why not? even if he suddenly dropped the act and said "hahaha I fooled you, I'm actually a giant normie", it would be illogical for both of us to suddenly dislike the other person

>>35528249
>Don't bother me with small talk, appreciate my insane rambling
That would definitely be a plus point with me, and likely many INFJs. I've always got schemes and plans going on, and tend to be more inside my own head than in reality. So, I don't do small talk, not unless I have to.
How easily would you estimate that an INTP would open up to someone? I can be open quite easily, but it scares people off, and puts me off talking to people. A mutual level of honesty would be pretty comfy. Not getting into the argument of whether genuinely "fixing" people is feasible, I do find I like to be the helper type, but I like to know I can trust people and I'm not just being used as a problem-hole.
>also, people are different so it won't work on all remember
I'm not, I'm aware it just refers to how a person's though process works. I just usually find it to be a useful psychological guideline when dealing with new people, and myself.

I am much more likely to open up to people I will probably never meet again. I would also open up if I completely trusted you, but so far that hasn't happened with anyone (such standard is impossibly high to attain, not even my mom reaches it). I'm also unlikely to approach you with my feelings because I prefer introspection, but I wouldn't mind answering if you asked me. I'm also not that cold that you couldn't approach me with your feelings, but don't expect a hug and baseless reassurance.
Ultimately I believe only you alone can fix yourself, so your help can be a useful guidance but not the final push - don't be angry if I don't heed your advice.
Also if I don't talk to you for several months, it doesn't mean I stopped being your friend - there is just nothing to discuss. My default level of relationship with people I've met is friendly until they personally wrong me somehow, then I avoid them. If we become better friends then we usually stay friends forever, though we may drift apart in our path of life.

Elliot rodger was an INFP
I don't mind talking to people when they talk to me but, I wont really ever open up. People tell me their deepest and darkest secrets but they still won't know the basic thing about me. I only share stuff I want to share. Though I may seem like an open book, I pretty much hide my trueself inside. I don't really share my opinions on things or people. I really only interact and like a few people in my university. For example, the girl I like has a twin who looks like her and has the same interests but, I could honestly give two shits about her or her opinion. The same goes for others. I tend to fixate on things that I like. Maybe a bit obsessive when I fixate on things but, I find it hard to get my attention on things. I dont find most things funny but I try to laugh along because the things I do find funny are fked up and most people would find it weird.

Got it i'm probably an intj. Seems like I have a weak eT as I am extremely disorganized although I wasn't always like that. I read somewhere about shadow functions that come out when one is stressed could that be what caused my confusion as the opposing functions of intj are the functions of intp?
I-I've been seriously depressed and sad for these past 4 years of my life.

Are you ok with being inactive and mostly observing, or does it make you depressed? I always get INTP at the 16personalities test and in most other tests but i know for a fact that im not as im extremely unhappy being a NEET without a goal or purpose. INTJs need a goal to work towards to, a purpose, where as INTPs are usually pretty ok with living a passive and observant lifestyle.

>>35533029
Yeah classic INTJ. You have a Ni vision, which you validate with Fi and thus make it a somewhat emotionally charged/personal goal for you to work towards, but you lack the strong Te needed to be able to lay out a clear plan to reach that vision.
I have the same problem. I think people like us would work most efficiently if we had an ENTJ to help us realize our visions. However male ENTJs are insufferable cunts and i always end up at odds with them, and female ENTJs might as well not exict with how rare they are.
Other types probably wont be able to work efficiently with Ni type thinking, especially S types will be driven crazy by it. With the only other Te types out there being xSTJs we are basically stuck between a rock and a hard place.
>>35533228
So I just need to sort my self out and organize myself. My biggest problem is I suffer from what I think is maladaptive daydreaming and re-occuring distracted thoughts which I think is from my low self-esteem and sense of self worth. They all have to do with me and being in social and outside situations. Would that have to do with my Fi?
But thank you anyways for helping me sort myself out a little.

>>35533228
Why do you find ENTJs insufferable? I'm curious
>So I just need to sort my self out and organize myself.
Not necessarily, you need to be able to master Te. Si and Te get confused a lot because they're both strong on being "tidy" and organized, but if you try to develop Si you'll fail miserably. Read up on the functions. Te is kind of like the scheduler of a CPU, it takes a big task and it breaks it down into small pieces to be able to be accomplished irl.
>My biggest problem is I suffer from what I think is maladaptive daydreaming and re-occuring distracted thoughts which I think is from my low self-esteem and sense of self worth.
Same. I get depressed when i fail at something that others can do. I will at times not do something rather than do it and fail. This is classic Ni saying that its probably going to fail anyways so why try. You need a more Se "just do it" mentality at times. You cant be sure about everything, you need to be able to take risks if you want to accomplish anything.
>They all have to do with me and being in social and outside situations. Would that have to do with my Fi?
Well it depends, if you see being social and outgoing as a personal ideal, something you admire, or a core value it could. It could also just mean that you are ENTP and this is your Fe talking.
>How do you tell others' types well?
Researching MBTI and Jungian cognitive theory a lot. You'll be able to get a good "feel" for different types after a while.

I'm just so awkward and I've been trying to fix it now because it makes me insecure.
> I get depressed when i fail at something that others can do.
Yes I have an ENTP best friend (funny you mentioned that little diddle about ENTP) and ever since I met him I've always been so jealous of how charismatic he is. He's adhd so he lacks focus, but it makes him so entertaining and smart at times when he does focus. He's literally the opposite of me and pretty much accomplishes things he sets his mind to even when he fails. He attracts girls effortlessly, in a way I can't and can make almost anyone he meets laugh. We've pretty much been in the same friend groups since I met him and I've felt that I've been living under his shadow for the longest time. We make music together but he is way more skilled at playing and has more experience than I ever will. Although since I moved away to college I haven't been around him much so I can focus more on me.

Just being "real" with people and yourself, getting it all out even if it hurts either of you to say it while still being understanding and nice. A Machiavellian/Art of the Deal(pls don't kill me, /pol/) world where everyone is a snake in the grass for their own profit and throws morals and people aside wantonly and arbitrarily is probably my worst nightmare. I find it really hard to go with the grain when doing so alienates who I am and I have fits in my head whenever someone tells me I am or have to be something I'm not. Honesty, integrity, authenticity, kindness all sound like meme words but they mean a lot to me.
>>35534217
ESTJs are more stubborn but ENTJs arent any less annoying. I want control over my environment, they want control as well, but when we're working together on something they're too stuck on the control aspect and unwilling to make compromises. If they dont get their way they get angry and get into verbal fights or they back out altogether if they cant win.
I havent met a female ENTJ yet but apparently they are supposed to be more diplomatic and flexible than males.
>>35534385
People objecting my views or opinions even when they're correct or accurate. And like five minutes later they will think twice or experiment and will whisper: 'Yeah, you were right'.

>>35534403
>A Machiavellian/Art of the Deal(pls don't kill me, /pol/) world where everyone is a snake in the grass for their own profit and throws morals and people aside wantonly and arbitrarily
This is literally our current world.
I used to think i might be ENFP/INFP as i used to have the same ideals as you guys but unlike you i realize that my ideals are incompatible with reality. Its a dog eat dog world, the empathetic and kind at best get left alone but at the mercy of the strong, at worst get exploited by the strong.
>>35534468
Hmm, i'm pretty sure these happen for different reasons. Generally ENTJs actually have reason consciously to think something, but the INTJ is using there Ni and is attempting to work it out. I'd say this is reason for the difference in being vocal. It's logical to wait till you can find the reason behind a certain thing rather than it just being the answer.
>>35534409
It seems like we're naturally enemies. Mainly because it's the Te-Se functionality that makes us look for control except ESTJs happen to be more swell than ENTJs. Therefore ESTJs are confrontational to those who do not follow their established rules
I know you'll probably find all of this as bullshit but I have infuriated and argued with four ESTJs. Even fought with one.
Female ENTJs can go either way though. I have a teacher who is one and while she's very professional, she doesn't play clean

We take everything in and then we digest it. It's reversed, essentially. ENTPs and INTPs are pretty much the exact same from where I'm standing, but ENTPs are less formalized in their interests and INTPs are a tad more driven towards "a specific" topic.
We absorve the outside world and digest it all, that's how we work.
>>35534751
Ok, thanks for your opinion.
>>35534784
Other ENTP here, I'll try to explain my thought process as best I can.
I see things sort of top down, but from every angle. The whole "entp will debate you to death" is kind of a meme. Instead, my thoughts are an internal debate. For instance, if I think "I need to do my homework", I'll think about what goes against and what goes for doing it, and accepting that I have accepting vested interest in not doing my homework to be lazy. Eventually, I realize my justifications for not doing it are biased, and I'll do it. Expand that to every situation, and that's the process.
>>35535110
The whole "entp will debate you to death" is not a meme. Most ENTPs that are driven and high IQ tend to be extremely defensive and confrontational.
Our Ti also means we debate without involving our emotion and our own self in the debate itself, meaning we are often considered absolute idiots and offensive simply because we never expect others to take everything single thing to heart. Because it is "illogical" for us.
>>35533961
What religion is it?
I wouldnt worry too much, there are always going to be better people out there. Just find somethng that you are good at, its a meme but "follow your heart", as gay as it sounds, is true. Do what you like and what you are good at. Stop chasing an ideal that was made by others.

>>35535110

>>35535041

>>35535221
From talking to my intp friend, he said he didn't continue on the internal debate by adding qualifiers to why he would think a certain way, or how he could be wrong. Instead he only though about how he could be right. I only have this one guy to base this off of, and the other entp in the thread already explained why I could be wrong. I think I have too polarized of a view based on this one friend.
>>35535228
I honestly genuinely pursue all of my given interests... The important thing is that you end up recognizing the underlying means of expression/means of creation or engineering within you... And then take all of your knowledge into the field you chose.
One important thing to keep in mind, that will help you choose something which will make you happier, keep your choices to rather wide-open fields. Like, say you like biology, sculpture, maybe writing, you know... Maybe you should go into landscaping or whatever and try to incorporate all of your interests into one outcome. Then... There's the common ENTP way out of life: being a comedian. Living that pierrot life.
>>35535283
Yeah, for me in my internal debates I evaluate my own biases, and I give myself arguments for both/multiple sides. As a result, my opinion on certain topics can change pretty quickly if I'm presented new relevant information, and I'm usually very moderate when it comes to topics with differing positions.

I don't belong in this world but also can't imagine another world where it's accepted to just be alone and for people to leave me alone. None of those people in my example are remotely like me, Bill Gates, fucking Einstein! Ellen Page??? They are all highly social people, one even has a goddamn show that is 100% about making small talk! Somethings not right here.

A lot of celebrities are typed based on the cognitive functions and how they think, feel and perceive the world, not necessarily how many people they talk to, the latter really isn't important here unless you look at the whys and hows for their socialization.
All introvert leading types can be as social as any extrovert leading type and vice versa.
That said, an INTP with a lot of friends probably found most of them from D&D meetups, tech conventions and the like while an ESFP might find all of their friends from EDM concerts and """"lit"""" parties.

INFP male here. I was waiting for a question like this.
I don't really watch anime these days, but I wouldn't really say I've grown out of it.
A show that really resonated with me was the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. It's a little hard to watch now (didn't age that well), but it holds a very special place in my heart. There is just something so satisfyingly magical about it. Revising episodes now and then always remind of of that youthful sense of wonder. A large part of that might just be nostalgia though. I've never met anyone who liked it as much as I did so I never got a chance to discuss it with people. Anyone?
Another favorite is FLCL. Similar to Haruhi in many ways, but in it's own style. Reminds you the world is wide and there's still so much I want to do. It embodies that feeling of being a kid and seeing adult life happen around you, trying to make sense of it all. The music plays a big part of what made it so good. I think you liked rock music growing up you'll enjoy it.
Alright one more. I also really liked Haibane Renmei. It was a very beautiful, cleansing experience. After finishing the show, I remember having a mini enlightening, realizing the fact that to move on in life, you have to forgive yourself and accept that life will always go on, and that though having to move on can be sad, it's also a beautiful thing. I remember sleeping so well that night. Also, even though it's an old show, I love the aesthetic. The author is also the creator of the more popular Serial Experiments Lain, but HR was overall a better show.
So I tend to like shows that give hope I guess. Anyway, those are probably my top three.

I know an ENTP who is a Chad. At least in the sense of 'sporty and popular'. They're generally not very physically active however. Unless it's one of their autistic interests.
ENTJs usually are. But it can go either way. And they care about their overall fitness. They usually don't care about sports or aren't good at them unless it's a brainy or individual sport. Then, they get obsessed with winning. Their inability to relate so easily and anxiety pretty much prevents them from being standardized Chads. But they can at least appear such as

>They learned fluent French in under a week
>Nation states entrust their gold reserves with the twins. There's no gold in Ft. Knox, only Ft. Bogdanoff
>The twins are 67 years old, from the space-time reference point of the base human.

I'll let you in on a little ole secret. ENTPs specialize in lying. To others, to themselves, and especially to those who think they're in control. We lie well under pressure, we fabricate whole plans based on lies.
We let other types believe they're in control, INTPs are the easiest to manipulate imo. ENTJs are prideful and easy to play off. We're a rare breed, and while we admit to being pathological liars we don't admit the extent we go to. In regards to ENTJs, I'd say they manipulate a group of people, while ENTPs manipulate single persons.

True. I'm struggling with an ENTP right now because I don't know if he's going to work or not or if I'm on his team at all. Probably not so I'll plan on advance. Socializing with them and INTJs is like playing the chess. INTJs are safe and neat though so they don't have the unpredictability ENTPs have.
I still find your arrogance cutesy though. It's funny that I like ENTPs despite my aversion towards everything they represent. I feel sorry for them because most of them lead crappy emotional lives and have to resort to bullshiting and cracking jokes to compensate. I wish they had longer lives. They're necessary evil.
I love that NTs have more in common than the other type groups do.
INTPs are the owlish autists.
INTJs are the God complex autists
ENTPs are the devil complex autists.
ENTJs are the douchebag autists.
>>35560302
>I feel sorry for them because most of them lead crappy emotional lives and have to resort to bullshiting and cracking jokes to compensate
The nail, you done hammered it on the head right there.
NT types are all arrogant, we all believe that we're the best variant of the NT type despite our inherent flaws.
In terms of "chessing" other types, I'll agree that the the real advantage ENTPs have is our ability to be unpredictable, its that desire to go against the rules.
>>35560425
>its that desire to go against the rules.
Which is great but have you ever thought of the possibility of forging your own rules instead of trite nihilism? Or are you actually over that as well?
ENTPs seem like a paradox of themselves sometimes. They're ugly but their entities are beautiful.
>>35560542
Absurd-ism is my current mindset. Nihilism was my high school mindset, the whole nothing matters so why care deal. Did shrooms once, had a traumatic experience followed up by ego death. First time I was able to be honest with myself and figure out what I wanted to do with my life. Sadly all I concluded was "be the best at something". In essence, I stopped lying to myself to forge a new mindset.
In terms of forging my own rules, I've been doing that for a while but I don't see them as absolute, more of guiding principles that can be changed when necessary.
>>35560302

Very interesting. I read about absurdism while in high school. Funnily enough my best friend INTJ did so too recently. It just seems logical to us to follow an ideology in where we can understand the inconsistencies our intuition makes us see every day. Although, ENTPs generally see it as 'this is absurd and I will quip about it because it seems futile to try to fix it' but we see it as something it should be fixed thanks to our embedded functions. I went through a similar phase but it was more of a obtaining a new goal rather than being indecisive due to the diverse arguments happening in my head. I think about all of the possibilities I could have had me switching to another school than my current. But I don't see it as in entertainment sake rather as for my own benefit. I guess it's good that you learned to value honesty. It won't probably last but you did the effort.
Funnily enough most ENTPs share your mindset but are malleable to any rules whatsoever on their environment. Which kind of depresses me because it tells me how fucked up society currently is.
I really really like ENTPs because we both see others beneath us, including ourselves. It's the ESFJs I don't usually like.

ENTPs can occupy more spots in the alpha-beta spectrum than any other type I would say, but rarely are they Chad.
ENTJs aren't Chad, but they are alphas.
ISTP-A .Did i do good?
ENTJ-A
I have no idea what's wrong with me

Why do you say that?

Yeah. Chad really likes us for that

Kek that is suprising indeed. Though if you're a woman that would explain it

Intp here. First and only time taking the test. No prior knowledge of any of the personality types or what they meant. Took me around 30 mins as to give the most honest answers possible. Saw logician result and thought "damn thats lame". After reading up on it, "eh makes sense, not soo bad".
With that said i am no loser lol. Probably 7-8/10 looks wise and have dated only the prettiest of bitches as i am picky and wouldnt want anyone to see me with anything less on my arm. Though i have fucked some less than desirables. I was actually on the high basketball team and 1st chair trumpet in band. Have partied HARD. Have always been the quiet one, but somehow managed to have semi-popular friends.

Birds of a feather, fly/flock together.
Should the high school football team take the test they might have similar outcomes.
Or its a scam to make money, (buy the premium e-book) and their targeting websites like this.

It takes me forever to study for this very reason. I didnt finish my sats in the alloted time despite being confident in all my answers. (That i did get to finish)

You can't change your type. If you want to know it for sure, read up on cognitive functions

I put neutral on questions like that
>>35567621
I did test multiple times years ago, always intj
Nowadays I did some more, always infp
INTP here. Apparently I'm a social outcast who likes to learn but is also lazy as fuck. Sounds about right.
