I'm too disgusted in myself to take photos, but I've been cataloging my weight loss for a while.

Top is 2016 (I hit a depressive period around May and stopped trying) and the bottom is 2017 so far. I'm losing it pretty slowly, but progress is progress. As long as I lose a tiny bit each week and don't gain any, I think I'll be fine if I keep going.

My goal is only to lose weight, so I'm just going by numbers.

I'm not really trying to get /fit/, so I'm not paying too much attention to my gut, although it's slowly going away. It takes ages for you to notice a different though, so it's probably a little demoralising to be checking your gut in the mirror every week and feeling like you haven't lost any weight.

I was almost 5kg down but I fell off the wagon.
Might try intermittent fasting.
So many normalthins I know only eat 1 meal a day.

It's 100% diet for me, I actually don't do any more exercise than I was doing before (I have a job in a warehouse where I'm pretty physically active on a daily basis though, so I'm not sedentary).

I stopped drinking all carbonated drinks and alcohol and I don't eat after 7pm, but I don't plan meals or anything, I just try to eat less of what I already eat.

seems like you entered the compensation phase. this is the hardest phase in weight loss because your body is trying to restore lost minerals and vitamins lost in the diet.
you will be obviously drawn to high salt foods because of that
