Well it depends on what your interested in.

Python is a pretty versatile language and is easy to learn, but you have to be carefulbecause it can make you developed bad habits.


The number one thing I would recommend after you get the basics down is to read a lot on object oriented design, data structures and formal algorithms. Those things are what self taught programmers are most deficient on and questions about them will be asked in every interview you do.
