The body undergoes a lot of hormonal changes in pregnancy. I induced lactation in a girl using yaz and domperidone.

I'd suggest going at least 2 months but up to 7 is better. Take an active yaz pill every day and a domperidone 3 times a day, take with meals to help you remember. There are other drugs out there but I went with this combo. It helps if the girl is crazy, she's more receptive to the idea. Neuroleptics are really nice for this because many have prolactinemia as a side effect. I like thorazine or risperidone. Once the birth control pills are stopped you should be making milk within a couple days. Continue the domperidone, maybe even bumping it up to 2 or 3 pills three or four times per day. Using a good double pump like medela makes will be best. Even with someone to suckle you'll want to milk at least 3 or 4 times a day too keep the supply up, but you don't get much advantage from pumping more frequently than every two hours. If you want obscene amounts of milk do it every three hours making sure to completely empty the breast and continue for another 5 or 10 minutes beyond emptying to stimulate more production.

The breasts will become more vascular, areola darkens, and they'll become more sensitive. Warm compresses help if it hurts. If you're trying to dry up you want to use cold, tight sports bra, and avoid any stimulation.
