For a while I loved you. For a while I'll miss you. When we were an item, life was good. At least, at first. I still don't understand why you lost interest. Still don't understand why you don't want to talk.
I tried my best, but I guess it didn't cut it. Cooked for you. Took you to the hospital when you were sick. Always considered your perspective and tried to keep good communication.
You told me how you felt about me -- I know you were lying. Read it over your shoulder. Then why did you keep on lying to me?
When you left, things were rough for you. You said that it'd be best if you were on your own. When my friends see you, they tell me you look tired and anxious. Funny thing, babe, the change didn't seem to do you much good.
I haven't heard of you taking on a new lover. Maybe you have. Just hope that you don't do to him what you did to me, whenever it happens.
I honestly hope the best for you. Maybe someday you'll make it as an artist, maybe then you'll be happy. At this point, though, I'd rather hear about it second-hand.

I know it hurt when your best friend abandoned you. But you and I were there for one another. We supported one another through truly horrific situations. I don't understand why you cut off without any warning whatsoever, but I've left the light on ever since in case you decide to come back. Remember when we went ice skating together? How much fun we had? I know for a fact that I reminisce too much. I know I'll likely never see you again.
