How come there are way more single men than women? this shit doesn't add up.

I looked at the population of new york city and there are around 350,000 girls aged 20 to 25. Assuming that even 200,000 of them are not wealthy so I can have a chance of meeting them, and there are the same number of men the same age, how come there isn't one girl for one guy?
