It means you have to surround yourself with positive things and that will latch itself onto your character.

Hang around bad people you will become influence by their bad shit. Hang around good and that will influence you. That means walk in the sunshine, surround yourself with nice people, listen to happy music, watch happy shows. Say and do positive things. And you'll eventually change for the better.

Ok but when I hang around my friends they seem to simply attract people and can have conversation with strangers. When I am introduced to people they seem to be put off by me and simply dont progress past "hi". I try to copy them and maintain eye contact, keep conversation going, etc. but it doesnt go anywhere and I am stuck in a bind. When others dont like me how can I like myself?
