Embarrassing.
You have to be 18 to browse this site, sonny boy.
I was born in 95, I grew up listening to korn. I knew all their songs, even listened to their solo stuff ( JD, Head, Fieldy included) which fucking sucked. I went full autistic with this band. Still have my T-shirts and hoodies somewhere.
I just happened to grow up and realize how fucking cringe worthy their music is. Specifically targeted for edgy kids, like I was. Happened to most people. You will grow out of it too if you are not literally retarded, in the sense of suffering from microcephaly.
btw never listened to Swans, but keep guessing. metal is for high-school 2cool4u kids.

The album is shaken by intense pieces like the original Blind, rumbling and sonorous as the worst death metal but torn by an atrocious despair.
The cupissimi texts reflect nearly idea "Leopardi" of hostile nature, the inevitability 'of pain. Shoots And Ladders, which opens with a kind of requiem played the bagpipes, and then only uses verses of "nursery rhymes" (nursery rhymes) which in some cases date back to the Middle Ages, highlights the psychological aspects more 'disturbing dell' Davis soul. His manifesto is the most tense song and mitered, Faget, the sound of pure rage when about to turn into hatred. All disc, Clown Ball Tongue, from Lies in Divine, only serves to exorcise his terrible childhood (skit after skit animal animalistic, brutal riff after riff brutal, hysterical beat after beat hysterical, psychotic chant after chant psychotic). Davis is When so busy screaming his anguish and his Freudian nightmares that some tracks (Need To) have very little music, made only of screaming, halting cadences, riffs shuffling. Daddy, Freudian psychodrama at The End of the term of seventeen minutes, opens in a monastery (a cappella chorus) but continues in a psychiatric hospital (voices in harmony disrupted), between flashbacks of the torture chambers (hysterical cries of song , prolonged distortion guitar) and dark bedrooms (the music stops, the singer moans heavily, a woman's voice sings a lullaby for children), Millions of children are recognized in this abyss of suffering.
Shine the guitar duels between James "Munkey" Shaffer and Brian "Head" Welch. David Silvera battery and particularly the low Reggie "Fieldy" Arvizu complement them in an original way. The album is one of those who save the heavy metal from stagnation.

I can see if you're into pop music, a lot of metal is written in a pop music fashion with music handling that way. If you expect pop you get pop it's decent and a lot of these bands are pretty good.
If you want a running track like Sergeant Peppers Lonely hearts you have to look elsewhere like fuckin Opeth or Burzum where there is some draw out portions or a method to it instead of trying to edit a few pop songs together the entire album is more like trying to take you on a trip.

I still listen to Korn every now and then
Anyone who likes Death Grips and hates Korn doesn't realize they're both experimental bands, and "nu-metal" is only a genre because Jonathan Davis referred to their music as "new metal".
If more music elitists knew their history they'd be less shitlords about it.
The guy in charge of this was an autistic crossdresser that made autistic noise music and would use his' money to try to fund communist stuff in Japan and at the same time would never make interviews except for that time he made an incomplete one through fax
Hands down most robot genre is anything related to noise. Normies can't even into it even ironically. It's the ultimately normie repellent.

Venereology is in my top 10 albums of all time. It's so crazy emotional and hard hitting. No other albums really sound anything close to it and make me feel the way it does. Obv it isn't for everyone, but music is like drugs. Sooner or later you're going to want some harder hitting stuff. I'm just at the point where noise is really one of my favorite genres rn and Merzbow makes some of the tasty noise around.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5LiIp_gEu8
>>35363959
Holy shit this is incredible! Need to see him perform live asap it seems
>>35364161
If you wanna start with Merzbow start with the soft stuff, Merzbeat and Merzambient, don't just put on Pulse Demon at 100% volume and expect to get it
>>35364278
>get it
It's noise, is there something really to get? Not dissing noise music either
>>35364358
It's the same reason people listen to stuff like hardcore hip hop, death metal, and dubstep, they just look for some music with more of a bite to it. Course noise is just pushed into the most extreme form. Need to look beyond the notion of it "just being noise" because noise music is actually very emotional. It can be really raw and most disgusting sounds packed into them. Guess that what makes people like it because it shows the ugly side of humans way better then other forms of music do.
>>35355055
I loved Korn in high school. One time a guy in class was air-drumming to one of their songs and wouldn't stop so the teacher sent him to the principal's office, who sent him straight back because he didn't give a shit about air-drumming to Korn.

>>35364490
