Jews were the Chosen people but they rejected Christ. In Christianity there is a new covenant, meaning both Jew and Gentile alike become the new Israel (God's chosen people) ie, Christians are the Chosen people.

Pope kissing the feet is a common Christian thing, it's done by priests in churches across the world on Holy Thursday. However, the kissing of the migrants was a bit embarrassing as a Catholic. This Pope might have noble ideas but it is not right. I don't think he understand what's really happening or he supports it.

What I meant was, there is of course racial differences and that's part of the beauty of the world, right? It would be kind of shitty if everyone was the same.
However, as Christians we share that union in the church.
My girlfriend is Indian, I am Anglo. There is of course a genetic difference but I have more in common with her than the modern secular woman of the West. In the bible although it doesn't state exactly that masturbation is a sin we are commanded to only do things that are for the glory of God. Christ says to follow him you must first deny your flesh. That includes doing things that please your flesh and not God. So using this I think it wouldn't be too crazy to think that masturbation is a sin.

been reading jeremiah lately, man theres a lot to take in! i could spend hours on just one chapter.

its very disheartening to know that a lot of people are turned away from the Truth because of bad examples i.e the westborough "baptist church". i dont usually post on this board, only lurk but this thread is something i'm very intredasted in taking part of. i'm a non-denominational Christian, only been baptized when i was an infant so thats not exactly the baptism that OP mentioned, but on the whole "having to get baptized to get to heaven" thing, i believe that if you accept Christ into your heart that is the ONLY way to salvation. although i would like to get baptized sometime in the near future. i just have this problem with going to church. i had gone to a Christian school from k-8th grade and was the outcast because well im not a chad, and that left an impression on me as to how i see other Christians that i dont know personally. once i had reached high school, i was very surprised to find that i was atleast a little more accepted as a human being by my peers. In a private school, its like they make public school seem like fights happen everyday and all that.

OP, what kind of baptism do you mean? According to the Baptists, it has to be a full immersion in water or it doesn't count. Personally, I think the Papist sprinkling and the Baptist dunking have more to do with each other than they do with having a vagina pulled over your head.
