Why do we even have toenails?

I hate my toenails so much. They're ugly, useless, wear holes in my socks, and smell. I've considered getting the surgery to get them removed.

Aaaaaah, anon. I had one of those freshman year in high school. I remember tripping and having it stepped on accidentally and there being a shitload of pain and pus. Don't dawdle on it, save some money. The procedure is quick and doesn't hurt nearly as bad as you walking on it.

I got mine taken care of. They numb up your toes, block off the blood with some tubing, and cut the sides of the nails off before using an acid to kill the cells that grow nails in those spots. I was in, out, and back to school to run a mile (fuck you coach Champ, asthma is real) that day. Recovery took a couple of weeks though. I had to soak my feet in Epsom salt solutions every night, but it's all worth it. If you can, do it Anon.

I can get it done free here. It's just the docs always fob you off unless you persist. At the moment I just peel off as much nail as I can which helps the pain go away for a few weeks until it grows back in the skin again.
