Nope. Made me lose hair faster. I started balding at around the same age. I don't know if it was genes that made me lose hair or the fact that I was on accutane for my bad acne which has hair loss as a side effect.

Seems to have stopped at around Stage II though (I'm 28 now).

I tried using minoxidil on my face to grow a better beard. It makes my skin extremely itchy so I stopped after only using it 3-4 times.

Last time I applied moisturiser right after but was still so itchy I had to rinse my face, dry it and re-apply moisteriser. Probably washed off all of the minoxidil.

I've heard that it works best in conjunction with finasteride, but it could help you a bit by itself. It definitely won't make that big of a difference though
