keep your mind and body engaged

do something mentally enriching, whether it's reading a book, researching something new, teaching yourself a new skill, or hell, even doing the fucking crossword, just don't let your mind turn to mush

it's also extremely important for your mental health to do at least some kind of basic exercise every day, even if you just go for a walk or something, just get your blood moving to at least some degree every day

I would add healthy food and that doesn't neccessarily have to be expensive
