What is the longest r9k has stayed awake without sleep?
34 Hours, kept trying to watch x-men movies and other stuff to stay awake
I have narcolepsy so probably much less than anyone else.
Around 60h on speed while i had to go to school
Three days family. Worst experience of my life. Would not recommend
I went an 8 day stretch with about 30 - 120 minutes of sleep each day/night one time

I've done three days before but I wasn't really coherent much on the third day due to how exhausted I was from traveling.
went nearly 3 days once, can't remember how long exactly but it was around there
i used to be terrified of nightmares as a kid so i would go 1 or 2 nights without sleep sometimes.
probably fucked me up a bit but whatever.

Suzu, is that you?!
Six days wile on a vyvanese bender.
ended up passing out after seeing animal like things running at me down the halls
Nearly 3 days once but I only went to sleep because I was bored.

48 hours, also didn't eat anything the whole time.

76 Hours. I had really bad insomnia when I was in school, I wouldn't eat because that would mean leaving my room. I would sell plasma until my counts got all sorts of fucked up from not eating. Shit was terrible. I would hallucinate and take sleeping pills (diphenhydramine) and I would take so much that if I didn't fall asleep right away my legs would ache, and if I'd hear birds in the morning I know sleep would be impossible (I had calc 4 in the morning). Still can't stand the sounds of birds.
almost 30 hours
Over 53 hours, but I don't remember the max. anymore
Over 100 hours while suffering from alcohol withdrawals. I tried to sleep repeatedly but couldn't. I wasn't even tired no matter how long I was awake. I remember that it was over 100 hours specifically because that's when I decided to go to the hospital.

During the worst manic episode of my life I stayed awake for at least 6 days straight. I don't remember how much longer after that because the psychosis was so bad. When I finally crashed I slept for two days straight. I wound up institutionalized shortly afterwards.
When I had manic episodes I would regularly stay awake for several days at a time (2-4). Even if I was forced to lay down I could not fucking rest.
Sleep deprivation is torturous

You know what I hate? Redundancies.
They're so redundant.

I refuse to let this thread die with such a shitty post.

3 days, I couldn't sleep without having a panic attack so I just stopped sleeping, I eventually passed out though

the "smart but lazy" of sleep deprivation
Only 36 hours. How the fuck do you even manage more than that? Does it get worse?
>>35293529
You have no idea. It hurts. Your head hurts, your body aches, you see shit. When I would drift out of consciousness, it would be maybe for 10-15 minutes, and I'd wake up with sleep paralysis. It sucked so hard. I looked dead all the time. Good thing I didn't leave my room.
>>35290681
63 hours or so, I would say. I wouldn't recommend it.

Bipolar disorder fucks with your brain chemistry, which in turn fucks with your body. In a manic episode it was impossible for me to rest, stay still, stop talking, etc. Under normal circumstances I would only be able to stay awake for two, maybe three days at the absolute most, but my body and mind were so fucked that it went on for twice as long. and yes
it gets worse
you start seeing shit, hearing shit, your vision is fucked, you feel sick, your head and eyes and body hurt like a mother fucker. Your inhibitions are pretty much completely gone, you can't think clearly, can't talk clearly. It's like you're a prisoner in your body and the only way out is to sleep.

2 boring ass days
30 hours. First time was horrible but now I have mastered the art and can do it easily
>>35293651
do you function normally now that you're medicated?
Just 32 hours during travel. Tried to sleep on the plane desu, but couldn't.
Why would you intentionally go longer? Just seems unpleasant
>>35293767
eh I'm pretty much in a perpetual depressive episode even on strong antidepressants, but the mania is completely gone (haven't had an episode in over 3 years) and the depression is at least manageable. thanks for asking.
