Why don't we measure distances in time r9k? I've been lead to believe that reverting back to conventional BC methods is the best way to measure distance.
>be building a road
>tell guy to pave a 5 mile road
>he underpaves bc doesn't know how long it is
>tell him to drive straight for 3 hours to make sure that pavement gets set evenly
OPEN YOUR EYES R9K
MEASURING WITH TIME IS THE TRUE REDPILL
This post is so stupid no one is going to believe you are serious OP.

There's probably a system of units where that can happen (probably). I know that in Geometerised units time has dimensions of length.
>>35281356
Your an idiot you are measuring distance in car hours, kind like measuring distance in lightyears.
>>35281408
Little do you know, but actually the definition of the meter is the length light travels in a certain amount of time.

>>35281356
It's a pretty ok idea OP but inches work just fine for now
>>35281356
how long it takes to go a certain distance can vary depending on the rate you're moving at and the terrain you're on
people will know exactly how far to go if you tell them how far to go
>>35281483
>depending on the rate you're moving at
Speed of light, you tard.
>>35281512
That would be very small increments anon, not that practical
>>35281512
Speed needs a measuring unit to be expressed in the first place.
>>35281512
c is measured in m you RETARD
>>35281356
Or you could set the odometer if you're driving anyway

I live in Texas, driving across the state takes like ~10 hours. We use time to measure distance, I have no clue how far away Dallas and Houston are from me other than 4 and 3 hours of driving away respectively. All Texans I know do this, it's just not mentioned really.
>>35281356
This is how light years work, anon.
>>35281356
>measuring by time requires you to know the speed
>speed is distance/time
>to get the distance by knowing time you multiply time by speed
>time * (distance/time) = distance
>it's distance all the way down
>>35281616
I discovered light years?
>>35281356
New forum of autism found
>measure penis length by seeing how long it takes for op to completely have it in his mouth
>small penis: 0.532 seconds long
>huge penis: does not fit despite ops superior dick sucking abilities
>huge penis length: ?????
I like your idea op but there is some serious issues scientist people have to overcome first.
>>35281723
my dick is 1,5e-17 light years long.
this is dumb and not even fun shitposting op kys
>>35281597
All people do this you dumb piece of shit.
>>35281356
>Build me a road of 9,8x10^-16 light years long!
Very practical
>>35281356
>everyone walks at the same exact speed
hmm really activates your almonds.
>>35281356
so he drives 3 hrs and covers 5 miles? babies crawl faster.
And we do measure distance in time when convenient, heard of a light-year?
