If you don't listen to any music you may not be into these but, Hold Your Horse Is by Hella, Pink by Boris, Dopethrone by Electric Wizard.
If you want something nice and comfy and easy to listen to, maybe try Casimir Pulaski Day by Sufjan Stevens, that whole album Illinois is really good too.

If you're looking for something extra obscure though then a favorite of mine recently is the EP Entry-Level Black Metal by The Lungs, it blends post-punk, shoegaze/dream pop, maybe a bit of noise rock, and probably isn't too hard to get into.

We only had one computer and we could only use it for work. I had to save for my own stuff, so getting something to listen to music to would take forever and by the time I got a job, all the money went to saving for more urgent things.

Seems like a lot of robots like really hard stuff, it's a fine line for me because that kind of music can easily devolve into a random mash of noise and screaming. I'd recommend starting with earlier albums from when the genre was still exploring and growing, and was still more hard rock than death metal.
