Since my parents always wanted it quiet in the house, I never really got a chance to develop music taste. I don't really listen to anything except for some vidya music once in a while. Everyone has their favorite bands and songs and stuff. Please recommend me some music that isn't shitty normie tier, fellows. Any genre is fine.

>>35281188
Just listen to some Linkin Park. Preferably Hybrid Theory and Meteora
>>
>>35281188
listen to some normie-tier bands and artists in as many genres as you can, from there you take the ones you like and delve further into the genres
>>
listen to forming by the germs

>tfw can make music with headphones
>tfw don't need shitty band mates to make full songs

If you don't listen to any music you may not be into these but, Hold Your Horse Is by Hella, Pink by Boris, Dopethrone by Electric Wizard.
If you want something nice and comfy and easy to listen to, maybe try Casimir Pulaski Day by Sufjan Stevens, that whole album Illinois is really good too.

If you're looking for something extra obscure though then a favorite of mine recently is the EP Entry-Level Black Metal by The Lungs, it blends post-punk, shoegaze/dream pop, maybe a bit of noise rock, and probably isn't too hard to get into.
Idk though anon, I listen to weird things like noise, drone, black metal, free jazz & virtually any genre I can get my hands on. What this anon said >>35281230 is pretty much right, I started with lots of old pop/rock from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s (plus the 2000s from the radio) and started getting into alt-rock, hip-hop, some electronic genres, a bit of metal & indie, etc and gradually spanned out from there. Make your journey your own.

Listen to the entire discography of Led Zeppelin. Then kill yourself because it doesn't get any better than that. Rock and roll is dead.

Were you born before the advent of headphones?

You sound like a shitty normie, so you can get your music advice from the shithole of a board called /mu/faggots

Blind Guardian is my favorite. I'd start with Nightfall in Middle Earth.
>>
>>35281389
Nightfall in Middle Eart is a legit 10/10 album.

We only had one computer and we could only use it for work. I had to save for my own stuff, so getting something to listen to music to would take forever and by the time I got a job, all the money went to saving for more urgent things.
>>
I'm taking note of all of these. I won't have time to listen to so many now though, so i'll check this stuff out tonight probably.

Explore your options but I'd stay away from metal. If you like edgy tryhard music then I'd look into metal.
>>
Don't bother with music other than classical.
Start with Mozart, then move from there.

>>35281348
I want music from people who I might actually have something in common with, and since I'm not a normie, I posted here.

>Parents never ever listened to music
>Would feel really guilty about listening
>Lowest volume without tiny speakers under the covers at night
>Just had two cds, one 80s collection and one kenny g
>Countdown by Europe still one of my favorite song

Even today I only put on music when exercising or high.

Protip to all autists is to always be prepared to answer the question "so what kind of music do you like?", because it ALWAYS comes up at social occasions and saying you don't is a huge turn off

Seems like a lot of robots like really hard stuff, it's a fine line for me because that kind of music can easily devolve into a random mash of noise and screaming. I'd recommend starting with earlier albums from when the genre was still exploring and growing, and was still more hard rock than death metal.

Someday you (pl.) will understand that noise+drone is the finest of the music genres. Merzbeat is normal enough so plebes like you would enjoy it.

>too dumb to buy headphones
But I have to agree with the bands and albums and stuff, I hate that kind of music.
>>
>>35281188
I almost exclusively listen to really comfy, lo-fi shit. Sufjan, Beirut, Fleet Foxes, Mac DeMarco. Also Andrew Jackson Jihad but that's not really part of the same genre.

Recommend me more, robots

listen to britpop like pulp or supergrass. it's good music that also can be quite catchy. most of the normies forgot about it, so your taste appears interesting, if you are ever asked.
