I am finishing up my first year at college and here are my experiences so far.
1. There are people that you can meet who you would get along with well.
2. If you do not pursue, you will be even more alone than you were before (a.k.a. in hs you can't really get away with not talking at all if a teacher calls on you. College i've gone a week without talking to someone)
3. If you can't shed your autism in hs, you can't in college. You need to work on shedding it now so you can be fine in college.

if you major in liberal arts college is easier than high school, if you major in STEM it's a lot harder

How does that manifest?

It's harder. If you do not work on shedding your shyness and lack of confidence now, college will only make it worse.

There are no girls (or at least none that you can go in a relationship with) in mathematics, physics, engineering and so on,..
