Recommend me some Animu /r9k/
The other day I was trying to get into FMAB but it just didn't hold my interest. The pacing was really slow and the story seems really predictable. I'm looking for a shounen anime good fight scenes, but isn't just mindless fighting. Something that has a dark lore feel to it, like Tokyo Ghoul. One where the MC isn't OP as fuck, but is sorta weak and depressed like Ken Kaneki. Also, any robot tier anime like NHK as well. Infact, fuck it. Just recommend me anything you feel is really worth watching.

i vehemently disagree, but i do think that 2003 is most definitely worth watching on its own merits and also for the fact that it establishes the world and characters much MUCH better in the beginning than FMAB does, so it offers a much better intro into the series than FMAB.
if you ever feel like revisiting the series OP give FMA 2003 a watch and return to FMAB sometime later. it might be more accessible that way. i love FMAB and i fully admit that its first episode and first several episodes are shit.
also Neon Genesis Evangelion is a 100% must-watch if you haven't seen it. it'll either speak to you on an uncomfortably deep level or piss you off to the point where you won't be able to avoid discussions about it either way.

FMAB is way to lovely dovey. I hate that its a happy ending.
The 2003 version has way more of a dark feel.
The homunkuli and where they come from are so much fucking better.
The way alchemey is fueld is so mich fetter.

it's a shonen parody but it's essentially a basic shonen at heart. the MC is a kid who doesn't know what he wants out of life who struggles with expressing his emotions.
it has some stellar animation quality too.
