I've been taking antidepressants for so long that I can't feel the effects anymore. It's been six years...
But I do feel the withdrawal effects. Oh I feel it...
One time I ran out of the medicine and decided to wait to see what would happen. I only made three days. On tge third day I was feeling so incredibly sick that I couldn't stand nor eat any more. Truly worse than any all of my hangovers combined.

If you except to magically turn happy once you take pills, you're in for a huge disappointment. The meds must be combined with different sorts of therapy, and even so the changes are only felt on the long run.

I've already tried going to a doctor and telling them I have daily suicide ideations. She gave me Sertralin Actavis and told me to absolutely not take more than half a pill at a time. It does nothing.

they cause a change in brain chemistry over a span of weeks so gradual that you won't realize they're doing anything until you notice that you're slightly less depressed than usual a month down the line
