As a former non-denominational Christian, would it be worth it to become a Catholic? The festivals seem cool. Not to big on the saints but w/e. The culture unity in the Church is whats really appealing. Is it hard to formally convert from a different branch of Christianity? I'm baptized if it matters.

Hmm, that depends. Being religious doesn't mean you are any less better or worse. I'd say it depends how far the person goes in the name of religion (or something). But I would never date someone who practices judaism or any form of christianity as it is presented in the bible. Get rid of the jewish influence from the bible and everything is fine.

Anyway, it clearly depends what religion the person is practicing. Maybe the person practices druidism or shamanism, who knows. Either way, I'd say polytheists > monotheists.

I've had the same thoughts but I was raised Protestant and my mom sees Catholicism as devil worship. I'm still not crazy about a religion having a living human ruler but I like the culture and history of the Catholic Church.

The only reason why catholicism is appealing is because population from that certain country kept their traditions, or at least to some extent. It is the same for orthodox christianity. Protestants simply cast out the baby with the bathtub, aka. got rid of the said traditions, and now they simply do not have festivals. Early christianity is in fact judaism. Christianity adapted its self to the european countries, their values and traditions in order to be existent.

In short terms, people probably (or at least some of them if not the most) will relate to the nature a lot more than christianity. Simply because paganism is not what the church describes.
