BuSpar is a weak anxiolytic that works the same way SSRIs do, so it has the same effects and side-effects. The side-effects will probably drive you off of it soon enough. You may not even be able to stand up due to all the dizziness and brain zaps.

Antidepressants are frankly garbage. The side-effects are so outrageously dangerous that it's a wonder the FDA allows them to be prescribed at all, especially to young men. Suicidal tendencies, body horrors, existential crises and nervous breakdowns are not uncommon, as well as gaining an excess of 100+ lbs. from long-term use.

Only medications that actually do anything are controlled substances like benzos, and those are incredibly addictive.

I first was put on an anti-depressant, had good results with it. Still had anxiety so I was given buspirone which has no noticeable effect in conjunction. no you won't get "high" dummy. side effects were intense bouts of nausea, restless legs, trouble sleeping. lasted about 4 days. no noticeable side effects from the introduction of buspirone.
