Imagine growing up and coming to believe everyone is able to make it and succeed out there and get the job of your dreams as long as you work hard for it, you also think you'll get many friends who'll stick with you no matter what, you think you'll a lover and get intimate with them. Maybe even have kids and pass on your genes and all that.
Imagine growing up and seeing as you age and age, you aren't getting any of those things while everyone else is getting them easily and living happy lives while you're stuck with parents and doing nothing but disappointing them, oh did I forget to mention? You aren't getting family love either.
Isn't that just the funniest thing?

Not everyone that works hard succeds.
But all those are succesful worked hard.
In the end you can only love yourself, for other people will only pass by, not even family will stay with you, just if you can enjoy some of those moments happiness, but in the end we only have ourselves.

But what of those who don't succeed at all?
What are they destined for?
If the world wants a good outlook for everyone what are they supposed to say to the ones who are incapable of that?
Honestly, it is quite funny. I think it is one of the greatest jokes ever told because when you find out it is a joke, you still hold on to it hoping that it isn't one. Deep down you know what the next 5 years of your life is going to be like, but for some reason you will continue on. Why? Because of that joke you were told when you were a kid. Never ending comedy, hold on boys. We haven't even hit the punchline yet.

Thats the thing anon the world isn't fair, we live in a place were some have all they fucking desire and others who barely get some crumbs.
But there is one thing: Desire
If you truly want something then you make it your obsession, you work everyday to fufill that desire even if you lose things in the way, sometimes you will fail, sometimes you'll want to give up, but if you truly want something you will keep trying even if you don't succed.

"successful" is arbitrary and what constitutes it may just fall in to one's lap without any work
for example: the lottery
>>35201393
It's true what you say about success, for it doesn't mean the same thing to everybody, but an amount of work is necessary to achive a goal and this amount depends of how great is this goal, even for someone who won the lottery would mean to save money to buy a ticket or to keep buying more since its hard for to happen the first time time you try. That being said there always the "luck" factor wich can make things harder or easier.

i bet a lot of important discoveries were basically accidental eurekas
like thongs or pizza

That we can't all be successful? True, even if every student in school studied hard and did their best, the college they want to apply to isn't taking all of them. We can't all study hard and get accepted into an ivy league school, those that put in work were only able to succeed because others didn't feel like putting in the work, we are only able to be seen as successful because there are others that are seen as unsuccessful. If we all became successful, it would be the standard. Of course you wouldn't tell children this; it's best to let them stay in their cave and think that we're all going to potentially make it. Paint the best picture for them.

In order for people to succeed, then others must fail, yes.
