This is one of the only times I'll hang out with someone in real life this year and it's already a gigantic waste of time, money, and a pain in the ass. I wanted to bring snacks and pizza to his place so we could sit on the couch and get high and watch TV but no.
Why even invite people over if your place sucks so much? Shouldn't that be considered rude?

How am I a jerk? I have to do all that driving on my Sunday just to do nothing at his place? I have to bring the food too? I could sit here in my room with my nice PC. Big TV. My video game consoles. All without leaving my room.
Why couldn't he tell me when he invited me over a week ago that literally his only source of entertainment is a tablet?
If all he has to do is talk then call me on the phone dude why am I wasting my time and energy and money and risking a car accident driving that far?

If you can substitute by being good company to each other its not always a waste of time. I live pretty minimalist as a starving college student so my place isn't that exciting, however I still manage to bullshit and entertain my friends for hours when they're over. But considering we're in a small town and there isn't jack shit to do otherwise within driving distance I guess its necessary.
