When I read it, it pretty much dominated my life for the next 2 years.

Then it lead on a journey to discover as much information on Elliot as was possible, and is ongoing.

Nothing compares to 'My Twisted World', as a story where a real life mass killer takes you on a journey through his tragic life, detailing all the events in it that eventually led to a massacre known about the world over.

Not really, huge part of his personality were his narcissistic tendecies of superiority that combined with his austist-esque part of personality made him be someone who thinks he should be popular, is great and is owed attention he seeks, but has no means of acquiring it or understanding how relantionship actually works, miunderstanding his and other perople's actions and then lashing out, due to his expectations.

Most people have both lower expecrations and higher understanding of human interactions, cases such as Elliot aren't that common and aren't a reasonable reflection of a loner/incel, though admittedly there's quite a huge variance, so trying to make almost any blank/sweeping statements would likely fall flat.
