Why isn't it being treated just like depression or schizophrenia? It prevents the person from having the desire to fulfill the most important and basic instinct of procreating for the survival of it's species. The definition of a mental illness is "a condition which causes serious disorder in a person's behaviour or thinking." - this is LITERALLY what homosexuality is.
