I found the source code for a text based omegle clone on github, and the source code for web RTC video chats too, in the same language.


I'm thinking that combining them might not bee too hard. If i ever get it to work i'll buy a domain name for it, and make a thread here

You should totally do that. Omegle probably isn't being maintained anymore. If you get people to migrate to your site and put some ads on there, you could make some decent money.

Nawh i'd make it ad free, maybe once a user base is established, and only then in minimal formats.

Yeah it still uses flash, nowadays it web RTC is superior in every way, using less bandwidth transmitting higher frame rates in better quality.

Theres already like 1000 omegle clones out there, I'd want it to be run as a 4chan video chatting site for like boards if i did it.

I'll open source the code and release the server hashes running on the servers. so there could be as privacy oriented as i could make it l could legally.
