funny, I work out pretty regularly and I was reading online that certain exercises (sit-ups, crunches) can contribute to heartburn
I get it pretty regularly too. I have to take a tums pretty much every night. I've started experiencing a chronic cough in the evenings too so I think it's acid reflux.
Anyone else ever have such bad stomach acid problems that you wake up involuntarily breathing in hard and loudly over and over until you puke out pure clear burning acid? Happened to me about 6 times in my life. I'd get heartburn even from water. Omeprazole 40mg sorts my shit out and lasts all day and night.
bump
I want people to know of my suffering
I want one of you to tell my story

How often do you take Omeprazole?
Can you get dependent as in having acid without it always ?

I used to have chronic heartburn. Then I went /paleo/ and it pretty much stopped.
Sugar and carbs are the devil, anon.

I take it every day. I never got my own prescription, my grandma just an ongoing prescription and she rarely uses it because she doesn't need it much unless she's eating spicy so she drops off some of it for me to use. If I don't take it I will still get heartburn like I used to. As long as I'm taking it I get none at all though. No heartburn, no uncontrollable breathing and acid puking, no waking up feeling like there's a ball of burning gas in my stomach with thicker than usual saliva in my mouth and too much of it. It fixed everything for me.

I do the same, same dose fix a day. But I'm a bit afraid I could not live without it in the future.

I drink coffee probably five days a week and drink alcohol once a week (although I used to get blackout drunk everyday for five years), but get the heartburn daily. I hate it as much as I hate normans
